“I’ve visited several countries and countless places, but this was truly one of the best day trips I’ve had in a long time. A special mention to Nika, who was the absolute highlight of the experience—humble, polite, incredibly knowledgeable, and patient. Spending time with him was a joy. “Great tour! The cave is amazing, and the canyon had really strong and beautiful waterfalls. We didn’t get to do the boat ride, but it was still totally worth it. Our guide Nini was very knowledgeable and told everything with a smile, she was really great:) The van was very comfortable, the most comfortable we got in a tour, could open a window which helped greatly with motion sickness. Really great tour.”

Review of Kutaisi’s Okatse, Martvili, and Prometheus tour, with costs, walking demands, weather advice, guides, and practical booking tips.

“Unfortunately the rain that day affected the tour, but the sights of the river, gorges and caves were beautiful and not to be missed. One boat trip was not available due to weather, but the cave boat was verry good (although also very short). It was not a busy day, but the queue for the boat took quite a long time. The guide was OK, but his English could be better and more clear. If we had know there would be about 11 km of walking, we would have brough walking poles - we asked in advance and were told the tour is good for anyone up to 90 years…”

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 86 reviews · 8 hours (approx.) · from $34

Review of Tbilisi’s $34 day tour to Uplistsikhe, Gori, and the Chronicles of Georgia, with practical tips on timing, costs, and value.

“I think this trip would have worked better as a trip to just Gori and Uplistsikhe, and to spend more time in Gori, for example to include a visit to the fortress. It was a long additonal drive just to spend an hour in Borjomi where to be honest there is not much more there than a park. The trip to the Stalin museum and the Uplistsikhe cave was interesting and the resteraunt the company took us to was good. Our guide was also very knowledgable and interestintg and explained everything in English and Russian.”
