“I felt totally short-changed by this tour. There was no walk along the Appian Way, the Pyramid was a drive past and the hidden key was so hidden that we didn't see it. We basically went to the catacombs then spent an hour and a half driving around Rome ending up at Capitoline Hill. The guide was very knowledgeable but my teenaged kids were bored out of their minds. The guide also made some comments which could have been taken as very offensive by some people.”

One of the things I found there were a few people scared as you go quite low into the catacombs, you are down there for 25-40 mins and honestly the spaces are around the size of a bathroom with low ceilings, very well lit and the guide was supportive of those a little fearful, the st Clement’s underground was also enlightening, the depth of how you go more than 10 metres underground back to the first century! Would highly recommend this tour!”

“Outstanding guide! Took us at all the right places, covered all the important topics and tailor made the tour for us taking into account that we had already visited the sites by ourselves. Command of English was at native speaker level (which she was not). This was very expensive, but it was the only way we could get to see the underground as it is virtually impossible to get tickets on your own and we don't like mass tours. We much prefer private tours. We could afford it, so we did it.”
